I've always known that I need to be grateful for the things I have and always give thanks, but i never hit me until today, as I found out a girl from back home has gone into a coma due to a cardiac arrest that was caused by a bad asthma attack. They don't know if she will be able to make it and she is only 24 and has been married for a year. Today I realized that just being here on earth, right here at BYU-I is a miracle. Being here breathing is a gift that my Father in heaven has granted me. As she awaits here between life and death, her family pleading for her life as they cling to their testimony in Christ and God, it really makes me grateful for what I have. You will never know when you are going to depart and return to our father's presence. I shall not take for granted the little things in life anymore. The beauty of what he has created for us to enjoy. The opportunities we have to meet new people each day. We are his hands here on earth and we need to get started in his work for the time will come quickly when he once again comes and gathers his flock. We need to not take for granted the wonderful people he has placed by our side. Enjoy the little moments in life. Take time to smile. The lord has given us trials in this life to grow and to have faith in him. It is only through our savior and his grace that we can overcome what may come.
